Dillon Kelly Joins Team as Client Service Specialist

American Portfolios Denver is pleased to announce that Dillon Kelly joined our team as a Client Experience Specialist. In this role, Dillon will provide client service, operations, and technology support to help clients have a positive experience working with us. We recently interviewed Dillon to help clients get to know our newest team member a little better. 

What attracted you to joining American Portfolios Denver?

After working in the real estate industry for the past 7 years, I was instantly drawn to the mission, culture, and values of the American Portfolios Denver team. They are really customer focused, they have a structured financial planning process that is customized to each client’s situation, and they partner with clients to help them turn their financial vision into a reality.

What skills help you deliver great client support?

I’m a good listener and try to ask enough questions to really understand a client’s need or problem before I try to solve it. This ensures the client and I are on the same page. I also try to put myself in my client’s shoes so the solutions I develop are relevant, relatable, and easy to understand. Lastly, I try to be very responsive, so clients know I’m there for them and ready to help.   

How will your past experiences in real estate help you in this new role?

Both real estate and financial planning are service industries where client experience is very important to building long-term relationships. I’ve always had a servicing mindset and I get tremendous satisfaction out of helping people be successful. 

What's something unique about you that clients might find interesting?

My fiancée and I are “Foodies” and we met while working in a restaurant together. We love to cook, learn about different cuisines, and trying out new restaurants. After growing up on the east coast and in the south, and spending many years working in restaurants, I came to appreciate different cooking styles and often try to implement them in my own cooking.
